ABOUT

Vincent Burns plays traditional Irish music in a lyrical and lively style on the fiddle. He learned Irish fiddling from his mentor, Brendan Mulvihill, and received a Traditions Project Grant from the Maryland State Arts Council to study with him.

Based in Pittsburgh, PA, he has performed at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival, the Pittsburgh International Children’s Festival, the Ligonier Highland Games, the Hot Pink Benefit at the Byham Theater and the Seven Springs Irish Festival. He has taught at the Calliope House School and the CCÉ Musical Arts and Dance Week in Washington, DC.

Vince would be happy to add a unique musical touch to your wedding ceremony, party or special occasion.

He also loves teaching and enjoys helping his students achieve their musical goals.

In a previous musical life he received a degree in viola performance from The Catholic University of America.
